Kyrron scowled at the elf who had just come between him and his prey. "This does not concern you, elf! This man owes me, and I have come to collect." "Let him come," Durell said calmly, though he was still bone-white. "Kyrron, I am sorry for what I did all those years ago." "Sorry? Sorry?! Sorrow will not pay for what you did. Only your blood with be sufficient!" Kyrron drew one of his knives, the blade gleaming. Suddenly, the door burst open and a beautiful young girl walked in. "Daddy? Nerefon? What--?" Then she noticed the man with a knife approaching her father. "Jeriah," Durell said, "Go outside." Jeriah did not go. Instead, she walked between him and Kyrron. Her sky-blue eyes were begging him. For a moment, Kyrron could do nothing. He was captivated by this girl's beauty and bravery. Then, with a grunt, Kyrron turned to the door, sheathing his knife. Before he went out the door, however, he turned back and gave both Durell and Nerefon a menacing glare. "I shall return," he said. Then he was gone.

"What happened happened do you think that because of what happened you have to spill more blood then what it was worth? You know some one from the empire doesn't even recognize me that is surprising Kyrron." said Nerefon her blood red eye and black eye on the young human.
"Do you think you can change the past because you killed him? Think again you can never change the past but only your pain because of what he had done. Why don't you go and fight in the war to take your vengeance that way." continued Nerefon as she watched the human walk away.
"We need to get you both out of here as soon as we can before he ever comes back. I won't be able to continue saving you from him. The only way I or you could save yourself from him is to leave and go to the varden." said Nerefon in Jeriah and Durell's mind.
There was a loud thunderous landing outside the house and a large snow white form out side the house. Nerefon knew at once who it was and she rushed out to greet her sister and Elu.
"Nerefon what has happened here? I came but it seems something has occurred." said Jamie who jumped off Elu who bent down for her to jump off.
Jamie looked exactly like nerefon but there was a mark on her head of a wolf paw and her eyes were gold wolf eyes. There with her was a large blue wolf who jumped off as well.
"Greetings Nerefon." said the wolf.
"Greetings to you as well." said Nerefon.

Jeriah stared at the newcomers. There was a large white dragon, and elf who looked almost exactly like Nerefon, and a blue wolf. From the trees behind the house, Jeriah both felt and heard the small orange dragon squeek as he flew towards them, landing in Jeriah's arms. How many others are coming by here today? she wondered. ~~~~~ Kyrron stopped a ways away from the house and hid himself, watching as the white dragon landed and the others came out of the house. He only had eyes for Jeriah. The offspring of his enemy. He stared at her, wondering who such a child could stir his heart and awaken his mind as he had never felt before. When he saw the tiny orange dragon fly to her from the trees nearby, he realized with a start that the girl was, or at least would be when the creature got big enough, a Dragon Rider. He did not think much of it, however, and was simply content to watch the girl.

"A few things have occured that I am willing to bet the people you serve haven't found out about. I would like to let you know that this is Jeriah and this is her little dragon, and jeriah's father Durell. Jeriah is the new dragon rider I told you about." said Nerefon.
"How are you oh, mighty Elu. I haven't seen you for some time and you look more mightier then ever before." said Nerefon bowing to the white dragon.
"Good and your self Nerefon? You flatter me Nerefon. Greetings Jeriah." said Elue.
Lynk came and sat in the dirt in front of nerefon tugging at his dirty frayed breeches. He then looked up at elu and smiled politely.
"We need to get these two out of here soon before anyone can hurt them. I can make fake images of them inside but then we have to make put them in a different form. I need you help with that." said Nerefon.
"I have a plan." said Jamie.

Durell was looking from the strange people, including the giant white dragon, who had invaded his land to his daughter, holding a much smaller orange dragon and back again. Then he muttered to himself, "What a day this has been. First I hire a new hand, and he turned out to be a girl elf, then Kyrron, and now my own daughter is a Dragon Rider and is about to be taken away from home?" He shook his head in disbelief. Jeriah also watched the others there, unsure of how to act around them. She looked down the path a ways, feeling as if someone was watching her, but could see no one.

"We can train your daught here if you so wish. This would be a good idea but then again if something happens, which there is a very good explenation for something to go wrong we would be here to help. My sister will be able to majorly help for of course she is one of the strongest spell weavers and spell users we could possibly have." said Nerefon hearing the whisper from Durell.
"We don't have to take her away not without cause to why we are taking her away. These are matters that are meant to be talked about inside. Jeriah I think that because you will be training with me I would most aprecieate that you would be a part of this because its your future we are discussing. Why don't you fallow us inside." said Jamie very humbuly.
"Elu why don't you go scouting it would be bests if we don't have any more attackers or anything happen to you. I will call you in about an hour to two hours if that." said Jamie.
"Okay. Since I am going to do that I think I am going to do a primeter search." said Elu who streached his large white wings and jumped into the air and started flying two to three thousand feet in the air.

Jeriah nodded, wonder just what sort of training she would have to go through. She followed everyone inside, giving the area one last look before closing the door. ~~~~~ Kyrron watched as she white dragon launched into the air and began to fly around as if surveying the area. He cursed and ran away from the house. He would return. He had to. But it would have to be laters. So he continued running away from the house, not glancing back.

"Now since we are all here. I would like to inform you that you are not safe here. We are willing to help you and that is saying something. I will be training Jeriah here on the way to surda if you want us to bring you there which is a lot more safer then being here in the empire. You and your family who is still living here nedd to leave and come back when it is safe and that may be for a little while." said Jamie.
"What she is saying is that we are willing to help you leave and that we will be protecting you till we get to the varden. I know that it will hurt to leave your land and not tending to it for what you grow. Bring all the things that you can on the road and what you think you may need. We plan on leaving at dusk or sometime earlier." said Nerefon.
"What say you?" asked Jamie.
"My sister will be training you Jeriah in magic and all that is required especially in swordsmanship and bow. Along with a few other things that we would have to train you in." said Nerefon.
Lynk came in and sat by nerefon's feet again and leaned against her legs.

Jeriah's head turned one way and the other as the two sisters switched off talking. "Wait, I have to leave home? I don't want to go." "At the very least," Durell put in, "We cannot leave for almost a week. My son is staying at a nearby town for the next few days, and when he returns, we have to warn my older daughter and her husband. Plus, there is all the packing that needs to be done. It will take at least seven days to get it all together, and probably even longer." Jeriah sat quietly and let her father talk. I don't want to go. I don't want to leave home, she thought over and over again.

"Okay. We both know that you don't want to leave and that you have a lot of packing. We can attempt at using as much magic as we can so that no one can get in or out till that time try to get as much of your packing done as possible. We can give you one week to get this done if not a week and a half." said Jamie looking solem.
"I know you don't want to leave Jeriah but do you want yourself or any of your family members dieing because you want to stay? I don't want anyone to die because of any cause. Try to understand that we are trying to save you. Maybe when everything gets better you can return." said Nerefon.

"Dying?" Jeriah asked softly. "Why would anyone die because I wanted to stay?" She sat back against a seat in the room, trying to understand. The poor girl just did not know why anyone would want to hurt her...or her dragon...or her family. Finally she resigned herself to the fact that she was going, whether she wanted to or not. After a few minutes of silence, she said, "I'm going back outside. I won't be gone long." Without waiting for an answer, she darted out the door and back to the trees. She needed to be alone for a while, to sort things through. ~~~~~ Kyrron turned from where he was and could barely make out that the girl, Jeriah, he remembered, leaving the house for the trees behind it. He was surprised by a sudden longing to go to her, to talk with her. But he knew he could not. At least for a couple of days. He sighed and continued to run from the house, away from the searching eyes of the white dragon.

Jamie and Nerefon watched as jeriah left the house in silence and complete understanding. Jamie knew that she had gone a little to far in the child's understanding of the issue of where she stood in the brink of dragon riders.
"Elu can you fallow Jeriah into where she is going maybe you cold talk to her if you so choose. Please do this for me." said Jamie.
"Of course. I will try to talk to her as best as I can." said Elu.
"Durell I am sorry that we would have to ask you of this but this is very important and right now your family is the most important family there is. Your daughter is the second to the last dragon rider this world is ever going to have. Your family is in danger and it is time to protect you. We will protect you as best as we can." said Nerefon.
Elu fallowed the girl that his rider wanted him to fallow. He watched her with a careful eye and wondered if she would listen to him.

Durell nodded, understanding completely. "I know. I am hesitant to leave here, though. It has been our home since Jeriah was just a year old." He looked frmo one girl to the other. "If you don't mind my asking, who are you two?" ~~~~~ Jeriah sat down against the tree again, staring off into space. Here she had to leave her home. This place was her life, and everything about it had memories running through it. All her life had been built around this place. And now she would have to leave, and start anew. She looked at the orange dragon, who was laying across her lap. "You know, you're causing a lot of problems." Oranthor blinked lazily at her, then closed his eyes and began to nap.

"I am Jamie the white dragon rider who is the sister of Nerefon and warrior of the Varden at your service and I am a descendant of one of the more famous elves." said Jamie bowing.
"You have already met me. I am the boy you had hired to help work in your fields though you may have already figured that out. My name is Nerefon and a warrior of my own free will." said nerefon.
"Jeriah I know you don't really want to talk but you probably want to listen to what I have got to say. Your dragon is very special don't ever forget that." said Elu who had landed near where Jeriah was.
"I can answer some of the questions you have I may not have all the answer but I may answer some." said Elu.

Jeriah stared at Elu, holding back a grimace. Could she not just have five minutes to herself today? Still, she didn't want to be rude, so she decided to asked Elu some of her questions. "Why?" was her first one. "Why did he hatch for me? And why today of all days? I've been here so many times before and never even knew there was a dragon egg hidden here. Why did he wait until now?" Even more questions buzzed in her head, but she didn't voice them yet.
